Chamomile Wild, it is now naturalized on virtually every continent on the planet. Roman chamomile is a perennial creeping plant less than 23 centimeters tall with white, yellow-centered, daisy-like flowers.

When we walk on it, we release its wonderful fragrance and stimulate its growth. Common chamomile is a very hardy annual plant that grows up to 50 centimeters tall. It has flowers similar to the previous one, a pleasant and characteristic aroma that could be described as similar to pineapple or apple, and a bitter taste.

What is chamomile?

Chamomile is also called chamomile, a term derived from the Greek chamaimelon, meaning "earth apple," due to its apple-like aroma.

The ancient Egyptians dedicated it to their gods (particularly the sun god, Ra) and called it the "herb of the sun", valuing it above all others for its healing properties.

Chamomile infusion in bulk

It was used to treat febrile convulsions. The Romans used it in beverages as a tonic and blood purifier. During the 16th century, chamomile was used to cure abdominal cramps, spasms, and convulsions. In the 17th century, it was used to relieve pain and treat ulcers.

The flowers have always been used for herbal treatments and are often consumed as a bitter infusion, but recently, chamomile has been cultivated primarily for its essential oil. In Germany, it is so popular that it is known as Alles zutraut, which means "capable of everything."

Benefits of Chamomile Tea or Infusion

Chamomile tea has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, soothing, anti-flatulence, and wound-healing effects. Chamomile tea is equally suitable for children and adults.

Let's analyze how organic chamomile infusion acts on our body:

Bowel: Chamomile infusion is most often used for bowel problems. Gas and cramps in general can be greatly relieved by sipping chamomile infusion.

Upset stomach: Sipping chamomile tea is highly recommended. Chamomile's anticonvulsant effects are evident, and an added benefit is its antibacterial properties.

Diarrhea and constipation: Chamomile can be drunk for any type of digestive problem, helping with diarrhea and constipation. Chamomile tea can even significantly relieve stomach ulcers. NOTE: It does not replace a visit to the doctor if you have a stomach ulcer.

Bladder: If you suffer from bladder problems or mild kidney failure, chamomile is a good option, as it is relaxing, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory, and stimulates urine production. Take it three times a day, relieving all of these symptoms.

Diuretic effect: Drinking a cup of chamomile tea for breakfast has a diuretic effect, cleansing the blood of harmful substances and excreting them from the body, thus preventing rheumatic diseases and gout.

Sedative and Anticonvulsant: Chamomile's sedative and anticonvulsant effects are effective not only on the gastrointestinal tract but also calm the nerves. If you're nervous or sleep poorly, a cup of chamomile tea works wonders.

If you suffer from sciatica or lumbago due to nerves, you can support the therapy with a chamomile infusion.
